Irish Return Path - Option 1

I am living and substitute teaching in Ireland but can't secure a full-time position.


Gaining full-time teaching experience in the UK will dramatically increase your chances of securing a position in Ireland.

Don’t worry if you have been out of teaching for some time or don’t have a lot of experience, Uteach has unique programmes to make the transition from Ireland to England, and back again, simple and seamless.

Before and during your placement with us:
  • Submission of your details to interested English schools with a view to obtaining interviews leading to you teaching in England
  • Interview preparation from qualified teachers to help you be successful at interviews with English schools
  • Subsidies for flights and accommodation and financial support for interviews and starting your job
  • A dedicated mentor, lesson plans and teaching materials to support you and help save you a huge amount of planning time
  • Assistance with finding suitable accommodation near your English school
  • Ongoing training and support throughout the academic year

Once you have gained UK experience, we will enrol you in our Return Path Programme, the only one in existence, where we will work with you to target key areas of development and give you the best opportunity to secure a teaching position in Ireland when you return.
