Teachers Struggle to find Teaching Jobs in Scotland
A study by the General Teaching Council for Scotland found that the number of new teachers securing full-time teaching posts is falling with just one in six newly qualified teachers securing a full-time permanent job (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-11950473). There are also a large number of teachers qualifying who do not enter the profession (http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/2010/jan/01/teachers-leaving-profession-shortages).
