About Uteach

Uteach recruitment offers a comprehensive training, placement and support service to overseas qualified teachers who have secured teaching jobs in the UK.  Teachers are recruited by Uteach, interviewed by head teachers and placed within schools in England. The Uteach+ training programme offers a training programme, prior to the placement start date and a Uteach+ service to support teachers while they are teaching.

About the role

  • Managing the support services that Uteach offer, including a team of subject mentors
  • Liaising with in-school mentors and SLT to support teachers
  • Supporting teachers through school visits
  • Managing the Uteach online training platform
  • Creating training materials for the Uteach online platform
  • Manage the effectiveness of Uteach+ training through evaluating events and access to training
  • Planning and executing training events, including a 5 day training academy in the Summer
  • Delivering training sessions
  • Supporting the recruitment team

 

Experience required:

  • At least 2 years’ teaching experience
  • Ability to oversee a training programme for new teachers
  • An in depth knowledge of the UK education system
  • Self motivated and able to manage a range of tasks effectively
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Commitment to working with schools and developing new teachers
  • Mentoring/lesson observation experience desirable
  • Experience in leadership of projects/teams is desirable
